1
Straighten your spine.

Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart. Put in the pelvis and buttocks. Tighten your abs, roll and relax your shoulders, and push your jaw in. Finally, let your hands fall freely, and breathe calmly.

2

Now, imagine you are a tree

Your feet are the roots, and you want to go deeper into the earth. Pelvis and core are the trunk, while your hands are the tree branches. Your head is the tree’s highest point, the one that wants to join the sky.

3

Focus your attention

Four fingers below your navel is the center of your power; it is the source of balance and energy. Start breathing from this point for 10 breaths. Furthermore, see how no one can influence you with words or actions; you have now become an unwavering neutral observer.

4

Reprogram your thinking.

You can now, if you want, include the following phrase-thought in the process:

“I am standing without effort
elevated without arrogance
alert without fear
I watch everything without greed
available without cowardice
with stability and in total relaxation.”

Repeat each sentence while breathing in and out.

5

Observe the Changes.

At the end of this exercise, take some time to check with yourself. Specifically notice how you feel, look how people interact with you, and how the energy of the place has transformed.

Relaxation exercise while waiting

With the relaxation exercise, you can find harmony while waiting, whether standing in line, on the bus, or in the supermarket. How hard is it for us to stay? For some strange reason, waiting creates stress, anxiety, and negativity. In addition, we start making toxic thoughts, and our energy drops. Our patience begins to wane, and we create conflicts with our fellow human beings and internal blockages. In such situations, this practice comes in and brings you back to well-being.

The following exercise brings us back to our centre, allows us to see neutrally, and gives us back our power.

1 – As you stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, straighten your spine. Put in the pelvis and buttocks. Tighten your abs, roll and relax your shoulders, and push your jaw in. Finally, let your hands fall freely, and breathe calmly.

2 – Once, imagine you are a tree. Your feet are the roots, and you want to go deeper into the earth. The pelvis and core are the trunk, while your hands are the tree branches. Your head is the tree’s highest point, the one that wants to join the sky.

3 – Now, focus your attention on four fingers below your navel. There is the centre of your power; it is the source of balance and energy. Start breathing from this point! Furthermore, notice what happens to your energy, stability, and the confidence you’ve just gained! See how no one can influence you with words or actions; you have now become an unwavering, neutral observer.

4 – You can now, if you want, include the following phrase-thought in the process:

“I am standing without effort
elevated without arrogance
alert without fear
I watch everything without greed
available without cowardice
with stability and in total relaxation.”

Release tension with the relaxation exercise while waiting

At the end of this exercise, take a moment to reflect on the transformation that has occurred. Also, notice how your inner and outer worlds have changed. How are things now? Aren’t they quieter? More harmonious than before the exercise!

We have not come to this world to suffer; we have come to experience beauty, love, and peace. Slowly but steadily, beauty and peace become part of our lives by trying new things and making changes to our daily habits. A simple breath is enough to change any dire circumstance. Our bodies contain all the mechanisms necessary to achieve health and well-being in our everyday lives; all we need to do is activate them!

Try this relaxation exercise the next time you find yourself waiting in line or standing in line.
