A Brief History
Former Greek Olympians founded in 1982 the Hellenic Olympians Association (HOA) with the mission to preserve the Olympic spirit and extend its values beyond competition. Moreover, operating under the auspices of the Hellenic Olympic Committee, the Association unites athletes from all generations who have represented Greece at the Olympic Games. Over the decades, HOA has become a driving force in promoting sportsmanship, education, social solidarity, and national pride. Our main goal is to ensure that the legacy of the Olympic Spirit continues to inspire and serve society.
SOMA FLOW THRIVE & Hellenic Olympians Association Collaboration
Anna Agrafioti, as an Olympian and founder of SOMA FLOW THRIVE, actively collaborates with the Hellenic Olympians Association. Together, they bring the Olympic spirit into schools, athletic clubs, and communities.
“ It is a pleasure for me to share my personal journey — the challenges, dedication, and lessons I undergone before, during, and after the Olympic Games. As well as, having the opportunity to inspire students and athletes to pursue excellence and resilience. Beyond sport, I highlight environmental issues and sustainability, helping young people reconnect with nature and deliver the values of discipline and teamwork with caring for the planet.”
Anna Agrafioti
Together, SOMA FLOW THRIVE and HOA collaborates in community projects that translate Olympians’ experience into practical benefits for society, fostering personal growth, well-being, and social responsibility. Their unique efforts empower communities and nurture the next generation of active citizens. Most importantly, they demonstrate that the Olympic spirit extends far beyond competition.

Pilates by Mandy Collaboration
Our collaboration with Pilates by Mandy began in 2023, when we created and demonstrated a monthly program for physical relaxation.
We realized that training alone is not enough; we need a period of deep rest for the body to remain fit and strong.
We called the monthly program “Mindfulness: Reset and Recharge”, intended to provide the proper time to sync, connect, and listen to the body.

The body’s crucial role in overall health and well-being
It is essential to understand that the body does not only function when we train – it constantly responds to everything we experience throughout the day. Tension, wrong posture, and rapid or shallow breathing has an adverse physical effect. In particular, the intense rhythms and stressors of everyday life, impose constant responses on the nervous system.
Additionally, some forms of exercise create extra stress on the body. When we trap intense stress inside us without giving it room to breathe, it finds its way into the body as pain, tension, and high blood pressure.
All things considered, deep relaxation plays a primary role in maintaining the body’s good health and enhancing physical performance.
Pilates by Mandy Persaki
Manti Persaki is a graduate of the University of Athens, Department of Physical Education and Sports Science, specializing in Swimming. She also holds a Master’s degree and a PHD from the Department of Nursing of the University of Athens.
For more than fourteen years, she has focused her professional path on Pilates, founding and developing the specialized studios “Pilates by Mandy.” These boutique gyms embody her belief that exercise should combine physical conditioning with mental harmony. In these studios, she created a welcoming environment with small groups of 8–12 participants. She also believes in inclusivity, thus establishing a model of training centered on safety, inclusivity, and balance.
The six principles of pilates :
- self-concentration
- breathing
- the center (powerhouse) of the body
- precision
- control
- flow
In addition, Pilates practice involves isometric and myometric exercises that utilize body weight. The focus is on core strengthening, as well as developing flexibility and balance. All of this is particularly demanding on the body but also requires significant mental effort. Therefore, Pilates not only develops muscular strength but also promotes deep concentration, relaxation, and overall well-being.
Pilates is a form of exercise that is suitable for all people, from young to old age. Moreover, in Pilates by Mandy, we utilize a wide range of exercises and variations to accommodate individuals’ varying levels of fitness and any existing health or musculoskeletal issues.
