Choose an empty jar.

Set a clear intention.

Decorate your jar.

Use your imagination and creativity! Add colour using DIY materials such as ribbons, rhinestones, wooden hearts, and stickers.

Note the good things.

Every time something good is happening, note it down. It could be something small, like a well-cooked meal or something bigger like a surprise trip. Whatever brought you joy, write it on a piece of paper in a way that you can recall the event, next time you read it.

Express your gratitude and place the note inside the jar.

Gratitude is high on the vibrational scale of emotions! When we are in a state of gratitude, we have a potent energy. Indeed, thinking based on lack creates a tremendous void in our lives, while when we focus on gratitude, we attract all we desire.

Connect with the positive and let go.

Place the paper over your heart and hold it with both hands. Close your eyes and connect with this moment of your life; see yourself in this particular experience. Stay there as long as you need and when you are ready, open your eyes and fully experience the now moment. You will be surprised by how different your mood and feelings will be.

The Gratitude Jar, a Wellness Practice

It’s a pretty straightforward practice!

You will need a vase and some colourful small pieces of paper. You will note the event, the date, and feelings every time something significant happens. Then, you place it inside the jar. Also, you can write down positive news, experiences, or anything else that made you happy and enthusiastic about life!

You will open this jar at the end of the year and read all your notes!

The benefits of the Gratitude Jar as a Wellness Practice

By using the jar, you will realize all your blessings! Additionally, you will learn that no matter how hard life seems, it always contains moments of happiness and a genuine connection with loved ones. This practice will change the way you see and experience your life! But we won’t tell you more; we don’t want to “spoil” everything that will happen after this gratitude practice.
